Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds printed umbrella with engraved handle ring
This bespoke Wood Walker umbrella was created for the 2019 release of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 17th studio album, Ghosteen and it contains an all over seam-matched digital print. This album was the third in a trilogy of albums released by the band with the first being Push the Sky Away (2013), and the second, Skeleton Tree (2016).

With this statement in mind from the artist, we wanted to make sure we created a stunning umbrella that met the expectations of the client. The umbrella was then distributed to be sold through the Nick Cave online website, and at the upcoming concerts as merchandise.
The Wood Walker umbrella was customised to include the album cover as a digital print all over the outer canopy, which was then matched at the seams and sewed by hand by our factory in the far east. The all over canopy print on the umbrella is a truly stunning example of the capabilities of digital print and the impact it can have. For this umbrella, we also included a custom printed tie wrap to enable the design of the outer canopy to be continued throughout the umbrella, even when it is closed for a seamless design.
This bespoke umbrella design also includes a laser engraved handle ring, of the band name. This was positioned on the side of the handle ring that sits next to the automatic opening clasp. This enables the element to be visible as soon as the user is opening the umbrella and adds a luxury finish to the umbrella.
Photo prints can be applied to any style of umbrella and our quality of print is unmatched and accurately represents the original photograph or artwork that we are given.

It may be that you need an umbrella quickly, and therefore we’ll offer you a UK manufactured umbrella which we can turn around within 2-3 weeks. Customisation options are limited to a logo print on a UK manufactured umbrella. If you have a slightly longer lead time, then the customisation options are more extensive. You can add digital print to the inside and outside canopies that can then be seam-matched. You can add an engraved handle ring to a walking umbrella, a branded logo disk to a golf umbrella, metallic ink, a branded woven label or customised poppers on the tie wrap.
